Lunches on board

Tuna Salad I grew up in the USA on tuna fish salad, sandwiches and surprise. On a boat it is a very handy and versatile food to have. That it is easy to stow is an added bonus. 1 can Tuna Fish  1/2 chopped Onion 1 heaping tablespoon Mayo 2 heaping tablespoons Yoghurt 1 tablespoon Dill Salt and Pepper Drain the tuna and break up in a bowl, add all the other ingredients. The mayo and yoghurt combination can be doctored depending on your personal tastes. Place on a bed of greens Garnish with chopped tomatoes and cucumber for a delicious and fresh lunch

Wraps Some kind of wrap is available in most countries. Tortillas, sfoglia from Italy, tunnbröd from Sweden, etc. Whichever you choose, they are a great thing to have on hand on your boat. They make nice tidy sandwiches that don't fall apart in your hands when you are sitting in the cockpit at sea. You can put pretty much anything into them. Here are some ideas: Egg Salad wrap hardboiled eggs finely chopped mayo salt and pepper some celery salt Vegetable wrap Chop up some peppers, onions, tomatoes, leafy stuff Spread some cream cheese or feta cheese or goat cheese or whatever you have on hand, over the tortilla, sprinkle with your favourite dried herb and place vegetables on top, wrap it up and you're good to go! Hotdog wrap Fry up any kind of hot dog or sausage and wrap it up in a tortilla with ketchup, mustard, relish, mayo, sirricha etc. Italian wrap Spread mayo and some olive oil with Italian spices on a tortilla Take some slices of ham, salami, mortadella, tomato, onion. Leftover wrap Whatever you have down in your fridge from last night or last week; chop it up Spread some kind of mayo, cheese, oil, herbs and add the leftovers for a lovely tight wrap.
