Our homeward bound trip will be mostly “delivery” mode. We need to cover more than 4000 NM by 1 August, at the latest, so not much time for sight-seeing and dilly-dallying, unfortunately. There are some places that we hope to see; Malta, Mallorca, Gibralter, Falmouth, to name a few. Roam is fully stocked with food, water and fuel so if we get a good window of weather we can, theoretically, be at sea for up to 10 days. We have a little Acer laptop with all our navigation charts, AIS system and GPS puck. If that breaks down, and the power input is already damaged so we have to use a shock cord to keep the power cable still, we have a backup laptop that Dan has installed all the above stuff on. We have an extra jib sail, extra main sail and a small storm sail just in case.
